Welcome Message by the President of the Hellenic Arthroscopic Society, Mr. Michael Iosifidis, MD, PhD
“Dear friends,
As President of the Hellenic Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Sports Traumatology “Georgios Noulis”, I am pleased to announce the organization of our 9th Biannual Congress (9th Congress of Arthroscopic Surgery and Sports Injuries) which will be held from 9 to 11 of June 2022, in Thessaloniki, Greece. Towards the end of the tragic for humanity period of pandemic, the Hellenic Arthroscopic Society aims to organize an open and live conference, which will provide the opportunity to present and transmit scientific knowledge about minimally invasive treatments of the musculoskeletal system and sports injuries.
Our Society, an active member of the European and Global family of Orthopedics Sports Medicine, aims over time to enhance the knowledge and experience of our colleagues. At the same time, we feel great honor as our members actively participate in international scientific societies and contribute to the production of new knowledge with their studies.
The 9th Congress aspires to record the latest developments in our scientific field, being an amazing opportunity to meet up close and share achievements and experiences.
In this endeavor, we are supported by the large Societies of the orthopedic family: from the international arena the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery & Arthroscopy (ESSKA), the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS, and the International Cartilage Regeneration & Joint Preservation Society (ICRS), but also from our country: the Hellenic Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology and the Orthopedic and Traumatological Society of Macedonia Thrace. The participation of distinguished colleagues from our country and abroad gives the opportunity for interactive recording of modern knowledge.
Continuing the tradition of dedication to practice, the Congress will begin with a cadaveric course at the Medical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
In the emblematic space of the Hotel’s “Macedonia Palace” Conference Center, an integral part of the Thessaloniki’s seafront, the educational process will alternate with breaths of relaxation in the lively center of the city.
